You will be working directly with our customers, offering horticultural advice and making sales. Good communication skills are key, as is self-motivation and computer literacy. We will train you to use our sales and stock control system to the necessary standard for this role.

You will be required to water, weed and keep the sales area tidy when not serving customers. Please note that this is a physical job which requires some manual lifting of plants and boxes as well as large bags of growing media and will require a lot of walking. We work outside for most of the day in all weathers.

The working hours are 09.30 to 16.15

The successful candidate will have either a horticultural qualification or demonstrate a keen interest and basic knowledge of herbaceous perennials. We also require details of two referees that we can contact. The job would suit a horticultural student or a person with good horticultural experience and customer service skills.

Please note that we are situated in a rural location. You’re likely to need your own transport to get to and from the nursery, although there is a bus stop at the bottom of the lane.
