Astrantia major 'Abbey Road'PBR

A good, rich ruby form of the popular pincushion flower, producing numerous medium sized blooms per blackish flower stem. 

This is a strong growing plant, producing good sized clumps, especially if grown in a moisture retentive or heavy soil, in part shade or sun.  It makes delicious combinations with other jewel colours, singing out against oranges, purples and lime greens.  A staple of the cottage garden, this versatile plant also cuts and dries well for flower arrangements.
