Chrysanthemum ‘Jolie Rose’

The flowers on this woody based perennial are semi double with pink petals and a white ring around the yellow centre. The leaves are deep green and aromatic. The flowers appear from late Summer to Autumn.

Best in a bright spot on moist but well drained soil, this herbaceous perennial is loved by bees and other pollinators but rarely noticed by deer and rabbits. Place in a sheltered sunny site and stake if necessary

When flowering finishes cut the plant back to approx. 20cm This will ensure a strong bushy plant for the following year and will protect any new shoots emerging from the base.

Happy in any free draining soil in full sun, give this plant an organic mulch in Autumn to protect new growth from being damaged by frost. It is semi-hardy in the UK so can be lifted in very exposed areas.

The spray laden stems are great for flower arranging.
