New to the nursery in 2017, this Sanguisorba impresses for its bright white fluffy flower heads that open from bobbin-like buds, gently nodding in the breeze on slender reddish-green stems above finely cut foliage.
Flowering from August through September, plant it in groups for an unusual transparent screen, adding vertical interest, texture and movement into the garden, whilst allowing plants behind to be seen. Like many Sanguisorba, it performs best in a moist soil with some drainage in both sun and partial shade. A great choice, therefore, for a sunny bog garden, it combines well with Ligularia, Lythrum and Persicaria.
