Summer Propagation workshop 28 June 2023

Join Rosy here at the nursery for a hands on, practical propagation workshop covering all aspects of herbaceous perennial propagation in a relaxed and friendly environment.

These workshops are aimed at the amateur/beginner gardener who wishes to learn the basic principles and practices associated with plant propagation. Rosy's aim is to enable participants to confidently use their newly acquired skills at home in their own gardens, to increase their plant propagation success rates and enjoy the experience of being able to produce their own plants. 

During the Summer Workshop Rosy will cover:

•  A general overview. 
• How to take root cuttings
• Seed Sowing and how seeds should be stored and/or stratified to break seed dormancy.
• How to take basal cuttings.
• Splitting herbaceous perennials.
• Other propagation methods to include:
  • Hardwood cuttings
  • Grafting
  • Budding
  • Layering
• Q&As on problems associated with propagation. 

Participants will be able to take their cuttings home at the end of the workshop. 

Tea, coffee and cake are included in the ticket price.
