Anemone nemorosa 'Royal Blue'
Height x Spread: 20cm x 30cm
Slightly later into flower than other cultivars of this species, its flowering season extends into late spring. It is known for its deep royal blue petals which contrast brilliantly with its central heart of golden stamens.
With time this little woodland plant will form a carpet of star-like blue flowers, shining out of the gloom. It is happy in a soil which is rich in organic matter such as leaf litter. Remember they are summer dormant, so mark where they are planted, so that you do not accidentally dig them up.
